The Championship Club will be determined by Section 2 Rule 21, but will be determined by the aggregate of all Club teams’ matches over the qualifying fixtures. Clubs must have two or more teams participating in the SWHA and/or BDH competition to be eligible. Individual teams cannot win the Championship Cup. Donors CupThe team finishing first at the completion of the first round of fixtures in each grade shall be the winner of the Donors. Challenge Cup The two teams on top of the premiership table at the completion of the first round shall contest the Challenge Cup. The Challenge Cup will be played when the teams meet in the second (2nd) round of the fixtured competition. In the even of a Challenge Cup resulting in a draw at the conclusion of normal playing time, a penalty stroke competition will be played as per the tiebreaker laws. No qualification rules apply to the Challenge Cup. Fairest & Best (F&B) Player Umpires for each match shall award Fairest & Best Votes on the voting slip provided and place in a sealed envelope attached to the fixture card. Four (4) Votes to the 1st Fairest & Best player on ground Two (2) Votes to the 2nd Fairest & Best player on ground One (1) Vote to the 3rd Fairest & Best player on ground The players with the most votes in each Grade at the end of the season shall be deemed the winner of the Fairest & Best award for that Grade. If two or more players have the same number of votes, all the players shall be deemed joint winners of the F&B award. The Runner- Up F&B will be the player that polled the second most number of votes. If there are two or more players equal on the second most number of votes, all the players shall be deemed joint winners of the Runner-Up award. If the F&B Award has two or more winners, there shall be no runner-up award given. Goalkeepers of the Year The Goalkeeper of the Year Awards shall be determined by the SMC members. The SMC members shall vote by ballot: 3 points for first choice 2 points for second choice 1 point for third choice. The SMC members shall consider the following in determining their choices: Standard of goalkeeping during the season Attitude of the goalkeepers during the season Assistance provided in developing goalkeeping during the season Participate at various events during the season. The Goalkeeper with the most number of points shall be the winner. In the event that the award for Goalkeeper of the Year ends in a draw the SMC members shall revote only on the goalkeepers who drew on the highest points. There shall be one vote per SMC member. If the Goalkeeper of the Year is still a draw, those goalkeepers voted with the most points shall be joint winners of the award. Umpire of the Year The Umpire of the Year Awards shall be determined in the same manner as the Goalkeeper of the Year. The SMC members shall consider the following in determining their choices: Standard of umpiring during the season Attitude of the umpire during the season Assistance provided in developing umpires during the season Participate at various events during the season. Ineligible for Awards Any affiliated member of the B&DH is suspended during the season by the SWHA or BDH Protest & Disputes Boards/Committee, then that person is ineligible to win any award. | |||
